This tool is designed for tracking progress against a set of goals. It is flexible for various uses, such as personal development or team skill-building. You can define Capabilities (goals) and their underlying Requirements (sub-tasks) and track them across multiple columns.
You can manage tracking columns on the 'Capability Tracker' sheet: • To add a column: Click the 'Add Column' button. The template supports up to 20 columns. • To delete a column: Select the column you wish to remove and click 'Delete Column'.
The template uses a two-level hierarchy: • Capabilities: These are the high-level goals or skills you want to track. • Requirements: These are the specific sub-tasks or actions needed to achieve the parent Capability.
You can choose your preferred scoring method on the 'Settings' sheet: • Star Tracking: Rates progress on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. • Number Tracking: Rates progress using a numerical score, where you can define the maximum possible value.
This column displays the consolidated total or average score for each Requirement and Capability. You can choose to show or hide this column by default in the 'Settings' sheet.
